In 2025, she was an invited speaker for UQ’s alumni event, and delivered a private lecture on ancient Egyptian mummies at the Queensland Museum, guiding participants through the acclaimed exhibition “Discovering Ancient Egypt.” Her talk addressed sensitive and fascinating topics, from funerary rituals to ancient craftsmanship, and sparked curiosity in diverse audiences.
SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS
In 2022, Serena was invited to the Science Tent at Splendour in the Grass where she presented an engaging talk to festival goers about the Ancient Yeast Project, with Adam Spencer as the MC! First time ever lecturing in muddy gum boots.
